Ethylene Gas

Ethylene Gas is a non-toxic hydrocarbon based gaseous element with a faint sweet and musky odour and flammable in nature. It is colourless substance with a water solubility of 0.131 milligrams per millilitre at a temperature of 25 degree Celsius. It is widely useful in many industrial reaction such as polymerization, oxidation, halogenation and hydro-halogenation, alkylation, oxo-reaction, hydration and many more. It can also be used for the agriculture sector for effecting the fruit by making changes in texture, softening, color and other processes. Its molar mass is 28.054 grams per mol with a density of 1.178 kilograms per cubic metres at 15 degree Celsius.
