Sulphur Dioxide Gas

Sulphur Dioxide is a toxic gaseous compound which can be used in various applications as a precursor to sulfuric acid, preservative for dry fruits, laboratory solvent, as a reducing agent, refrigerant etc. It physically appears as a colorless gaseous mixture with a suffocating odor which may cause irritation to eyes and respiratory system on inhalation. The gas has a chemical formula of SO2 with a molecular mass of 64.066 grams per mol. It is soluble in water with a solubility rate of 94 grams per liters.
